It is usually possible to upgrade the\u00a0RavTrack PC<\/em> AVL software program\u00a0to a newer\u00a0version without re-installing the software as long as the major revision number is the same.\u00a0 (2.6 to 2.7, 3.1 to 3.3 …)\u00a0 Most upgrades can be performed\u00a0by simply replacing the RavTrackPC.exe<\/span> file which is stored in the program directory on your computer. This quick upgrade method avoids having to\u00a0perform a full re-install of the RavTrack PC<\/em> AVL software\u00a0when simply upgrading to the current version.<\/p>\n

To perform the quick update:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Close RavTrack PC.\u00a0 \u00a0 File > Exit<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Click on the link below to download a copy of the latest .exe file:
    \nhttp:\/\/ravtrack.com\/downloads\/RavTrackPCexe.zip<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0or use the .exe file emailed to you from Raveon tech support.<\/li>\n
  3. Open the .zip archive folder by double-clicking on it.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  4. Locate the directory on your computer that holds the\u00a0RavTrack PC<\/em> program. For most users the full path to this file is:\u00a0 C:\/programfiles\/raveon\/RavTrack PC\/<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Rename the\u00a0current RavTrack PC.exe<\/span><\/em> file file to RavTrack PCold.exe<\/span><\/em>.<\/li>\n
  6. Copy the new file from the \u00a0named\u00a0RavTrack PC.exe<\/span><\/em>\u00a0to your RavTrack PC<\/em> program directory. For most users the full path to this file is:\u00a0 C:\/programfiles\/raveon\/RavTrack PC\/RavTrack PC.exe<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    You\u00a0may now run RavTrack PC<\/em> as you have been, and the new version will be executed.\u00a0 If there are data base upgrades to do, RavTrack PC will automatically\u00a0perform the updates\u00a0when it starts up. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
