DataNet is a software product from DataLink Systems, Inc. ( ). DataNET Software is the result of eight years of evolution. It has been used by U.S. and Canadian Government Agencies for secure GPS tracking and IP packet data routing. The current version offers unsurpassed adaptability.
Unlike ASP (Web Browser) software which ties the customer to a 3rd party server, DataNET is Client/Server based, allowing resellers to operate their own revenue generating hub or to sell to larger corporations and Government Agencies who want to operate their own private network.
Fully integrated with M.S. Mappoint, Virtual Earth, Google Earth and other mapping programs such as MapInfo and any other SHP map format. (requires Streets on a Disk mapping engine)
DataNet consists of an IP packet data routing "Server" hub called DataGATE which will link to SQL or other ODBC compatible DataBases and/or and one or more "Client" software programs such as "DataHOST" or other 3rd. party software which connect to the DataGATE hub over the Internet or Intranet.

DataNet is compatible with most wireless networks including Cellular, Mobile Radio and Satellite Networks, and of course Raveon's RavTrack GPS system.
The DataGate software offers an alternative solution to the more common ASP GPS tracking services which are hosted on 3rd. party servers. DataGate delivers a more secure environment which larger corporations and Government Agencies prefer, as DataGate would install in their own servers, satisfying their security requirements. DataNET is compatible with a range of 3rd. party hardware sourced directly from the distributors. A key feature is DataGate's ability to connect to most DataBase programs allowing mobile device manufacturers and 3rd. party developers to add a multi-network "back end" routing hub with virtually no development.
