Quickly Locating Vehicles with GPS

One of the most powerful features of the RavTrack AVL system is its ability to help you quickly identify the location of any vehicle, asset, or person using global positioning. Raveon's ultra-fast update rates allow you to see exactly where your vehicles are. Not a minute or two ago, but only seconds ago. 

Along with fast position and status updates, Raveon's other unique feature is the ability of each GPS transponder to RECEIVE a position report as well as transmit them.  This unique feature allows any vehicle to have a navigation display or PC mapping software to display the location of other vehicles.

And Raveon's RavTrack PC software program has many built-in features that aid the operator in quickly locating nearby vehicles. With RavTrack PC, the operator may locate vehicles by:

• Click anywheres on the map, and see the nearest vehicle.
• Click on the map, and see a list of all nearby vehicles, sorted by distance to the selected location and showing the distance and heading to them.
• Click on another vehicle in the database or on the map, and see a  list of all nearby vehicles, sorted by distance to the selected location and showing the distance and heading to them.

With RavTrack PC, a dispatcher, coordinator, or command center quickly can see the location of all vehicles as well as identify which ones are the best to dispatch to a scene.
